Aquestion about happy birthday

Why does the happy birthday discriminate against some zoners?

Actually, I have heard from some zoners that their birthday didn't show up on the happy birthday list.

For example, lalady's birthday is sept. 29, but her birthday didn't show up on that day. But, if you check her profile, the birthday is correct.

Could this be the beginning of a class action suit against j-square and his minions? Perhaps some up-and-coming blind lawyer could assists these poor blind people. It's a shame what the corporate world will do.

I'd vote for him.

Actually, I have noticed this too. Back in July I noticed a friend's birthday was not on the list, and just a couple weeks ago, my own birthday did not show up.

me too on the voting thing and i'm not even american. seriously that'sa bug and ought to be reported.

Where would the bug be in the code? The code is written so as to read the SQL database every day and see if any birthdays fall on that day. If there are any BD's, the code is written so as to post them to the list. Perhaps there is a limit at which no more people can be added to the list.

I don't know. It just doesn't work.

And my friend who had a birthday in July is not a new user, nor am I. I'm wondering if it has something to do with whether or not people put their year of birth. Many of us just have month and day. Could this make a difference? And why did my name appear the first three years I was a zone member but not this year?

some people have all or just parts of there birthday blocked from being viewed by the public. this could have a lot to do with it.

everyones needs a birthday shoutout come on. lol.

You can only block the year, so people don't know how old you are.

In the birthday list some people have their age shown and some don't, so I don't think that's the problem.

So why hasn't a CL or admin come on here yet and answered our questions?

We'll have to check this to see what's up.

Since we are at the happybirthday matter i have a suggestion but didn't feel like making a new topick.
It would be nice if we could add our friends in a list and when their birthday comes to get a quicknote or an email to let us know that is their birthday. Like a birthday reminder. That would be a good feature i think.

Hey, I like that.
Maybe it could also send something out to your friend, you know, like a birthday card, or a well-wishing message, or a computer virus (just kidding).

Good idea.

Well, of course, a potential voter is always right, unless her name is spelled LibraLady.
